How to use alchemy in Logic X to get a Granular synth style effect with samples! This is a fine are to create textures and soundacapes & even pads! Why stop there though, you could tweak it to a point that you're happy, then restart the process with your new sample and go again! This can be a great way of making pads and atmospheres for tracks that are your own, plus if it's made from a sample already within your track its going to fit right in! There are a lot of Granular synths available plus some free ones that I couldn't quite get on with, but this functionality within alchemy is really hands to have built into logic! Getting rid of breaths on vocal takes, these can be a pain when processing the vocals later, when compressing the breaths become even louder and more prominent in the mix!
